Welcome to Mummyhood!
My name is Hayley. I am the founder of Mummyhood with help and support from my husband, Josh. We have two beautiful boys, Toby who was born at the end of 2019 and Harvey who was born in 2021 and our newest addition, our daughter Luna who was born in September 2023. My two boys are where the idea of Mummyhood started. I breastfed both boys, but both journeys were completely different experiences and I wanted to remember these experiences.
I had never planned to breastfeed Toby and at around 25 weeks pregnant I decided to do some research and realised the multiple benefits of breastfeeding and decided to give it a try. We had a super easy breastfeeding journey and I fed him during part of my pregnancy. At 20w pregnant, my milk dried up. Toby was due to turn one a couple of days later so we kept going until his birthday. (My first Golden Boobies! Yeeey!) when Harvey was born it was a whole different journey. Weight loss, Lip Tie, Latch issues but we got through it. I was hoping to go a lot longer with Harvey but at 11 and a half months, he started to self wean. We made it to his first birthday (another set of Golden Boobies!) but he had never been a boobie monster like Toby.
I am currently breastfeeding my daughter, which is my third breastfeeding journey and as a breastfeeding mother myself, I know how important each and every milestone is. Whether it’s one feed, or one thousand feeds, they all matter. I will continue to add new breastfeeding milestones and I have recently introduced my Motherhood milestone collection because I believe all parenting milestones should be celebrated, not just breastfeeding.
